About us

The RELATE (Refugee Law Teaching Support) Initiative is a unique, gap-filling capacity-building project that defends the right to asylum globally, by stimulating the education of new generations of refugee law experts and advocates. It is coordinated by the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a leading human rights NGO in Central Europe and a globally renowned refugee law expert organisation, decorated with 15 prestigious international human rights awards. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has been supporting this project and its precursor since 2013.
